Flexible yet predictable rhythm: welcome & free play • focused small-group activities • outdoor exploration • meals & snacks • rest/story time • reflection & home time.

What to Bring

• Named spare clothes (including socks & underwear)
• Weather-appropriate outdoor clothing & wellies
• Nappies, wipes & nappy cream (if required)
• Comfort object or family photo for settling
• Sun hat, named water bottle & sun cream (summer)

Settling-In Procedures

Gentle, child-led process: pre-start home visits or nursery taster sessions • short initial days • dedicated key person • gradual increase in hours • regular check-ins with parents.

Daily updates via secure parent app or learning journal • Reggio-inspired learning stories & photos • termly progress summaries • parent meetings twice a year • open-door policy for informal chats.
